Who needs a reason
We all need little reason to have a great time and special occasions come in many different forms. Here at COUNTER we welcome them all whether it’s birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings (of every kind), corporate events, team gatherings – you name it, we do it.
Located in one of the areas iconic railway arches, we are the longest restaurant venue in London. Our unique floorplan space has the flexibility to create the set-up and impact you require. From large group dinners to cabaret style entertainment, our ‘deco meets disco’ interior adds that extra glamour. Check out the Google 360 walk-through at the bottom of this page.
With grey leather banquets, teak parquet, mirrored walls and a brass-topped island bar, our main dining room can host up to 100 guests for dinner or 200 guests for a standing reception.
This is where anything can and will happen. Our smaller, yet more versatile space located at the back of COUNTER (with it’s own private entrance) has hosted everything from corporate training sessions to weddings and cabaret shows. We can seat up to 80 guests for dinner or 125 guests for a standing reception.
Need something bigger?
For really big events, both COUNTER and BackCOUNTER can be hired. A reception for 350 people? Dinner for 100 guests followed by a disco? TALK TO US.
Whether it’s canapés or a full three-course meal, choose from our French-inspired menu or customised selection curated by head chef, Mahrez Loukal (formerly head chef at Quaglino’s and Chez Bruce).
Let our highly experienced bar team shake and stir some of London’s most potent cocktails or choose from carefully selected French and American wines as well as refreshing craft beers.

You’ll be allocated your very own in-house Event Manager as a direct point of contact to help make your event a big success. Whether it’s that extra-special-super-VIP guest, all-important dietary requests, looking after your Aunty Mame, sourcing a drag superstar, a DJ, three French hens or making sure your C-suite have exactly what they need – we are here to help.
We normally work on a minimum spend basis with no room hire fee. Our minimum spend requirements will vary by day and time of the year.
